Afro-Lynn: Communal Art Space is a DIY, nomadic art space.  A love project for the NW Arkansas community, created and founded by Coral Perry. As a nomadic space, we tend to set up in intentional spaces, mostly in Coral’s apartment. Afro-Lynn CAS has no central location, hosted at various venues, apartments, and homes. According to the Negro Motorist Green Book, Fayetteville, AR was a haven for Black travelers during the ~1930-60's. During that era, people in the community opened their homes as bars, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment spaces for anyone who traveled through the area. This is a history and community heritage that Afro-Lynn CAS contributes to; creating community by hosting community events in the artist’s home. Afro-Lynn has been contributing to the century-long tradition for two years strong!

We are Afro-Lynn. A communal art space rooted in the Ozarks, birthed in Fayetteville, AR. We are a space for YOU to show work, install an exhibition, present a workshop, perform your poetry, or have an unplugged listening session.
